This is the person who operates the lorry loader, he will follow instruction from the Lift supervisor and Slinger/Signallers. Setting up the machine to manufactures instruction / risk & method statement.
If the A40 was achieved prior to January 2015 candidates will ONLY have to carry out A95 theory questions – the CPCS Theory questions are available to review prior to attending.
If the A40 was achieved after January 2015 candidates will ONLY have to carry out A40A Practical test to add ALL DUTIES.

- Verifying documentation and certification
- Attaching accessories to different loads
- Signalling for the lifting, transferring and positioning of loads
- Rigging the machine to manufactures specification
- Pre use inspections
- Daily inspections
Duration 3 days (2 days training, 1 day testing)
PPE required = Hard hat, safety footwear, Hi-visibility vest / jacket, Gloves.
Start time: 08:30 till 16:30 (can run over and start earlier)
