									A Lift Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing lifting operations on construction or industrial sites. They ensure that lifts are carried out safely and efficiently, assess risks, approve lifting plans, and coordinate between crane operators, slinger signallers, and other personnel. Their role is critical in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations and preventing accidents during lifting operations.

 - Slinging techniques
 - Down rating of accessories
 - Sling angles
 - Communications
 - Establishing load weight and centre of gravity
 - Proximity hazards
 - Selecting lifting accessories
 - Verifying documentation and certification
 - Attaching accessories to different loads
 
You will require a CITB Specialist Superviser H,S&E test passed within the last 2 year is required for this course. Click here for more information;

Training Course Description
The CPCS Lift Supervisor Training Course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to plan, manage, and supervise lifting operations safely and efficiently. The course covers key areas including risk assessment, lift planning, crane and lifting equipment selection, communication protocols, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Through a combination of theory and practical guidance, participants learn to coordinate crane operators, slinger signallers, and other site personnel to ensure lifts are carried out safely and effectively. Successful completion leads to the CPCS Red Trained Operator Card.

Duration 3 or 4 days (2 days training, 1 or 2 day testing)
PPE required = Hard hat, safety footwear, Hi-visibility vest / jacket, Gloves.
Start time: 08:30 till 16:30 (can run over and start earlier)
